Therapy for Non-Monogamous Relationships in New York
with Aleja Parsons, PhD
Love exists beyond a dyad.
It can be hard to find a therapist who understands that love is not confined to monogamous relationships. Whether you're poly and that has nothing to do with why you want to come to therapy or you’re currently in a monogamous relationship but want support opening up, I am here to help.
Reasons you may be looking for a therapist:
You’re looking to open your relationship but don’t know where to start
You’re struggling to manage conflict
You’ve recently added someone to your polycule and want to address new relationship dynamics
You and your partner(s) want different relationship structures

About Me
Hi, I’m Dr. Parsons.
I’ve helped hundreds of relationships heal old wounds and create new strong, healthy, and loving bonds. I started my career as a researcher at NYU, where I sat at tables with the leaders of the field and learned interventions directly from their founders. After 10+ years, I know what works.
I now spend most of my time working directly with clients in my small private practice where therapy is collaborative, goal focused, and inclusive. Reach out for a free consultation. It’s the first step on the road back to each other.

If we decide to work together, in our first full session, we’ll dive into what’s been feeling stuck or painful. I’ll help you both slow things down, name what’s not working, and begin mapping a path forward.
